Blog Round Trip

As the title would suggest I'm making a round trip and updating all my blogs and stuff.
My tumblr, formspring, dailybooth, youtube and twitter need some maintenance, and what better time than to do it when I have hundreds of other things to do. Like sleep.

Apparently, lack of sleep = obesity. Logic from americans. Yayy,,,,

I AM A SLUT.

FUCK THIS.

I am seriously frustrated at the moment.
My laptop is fucking breaking, I can't go out, its too fucking hot.
AND I HATE HER. And I'm holding him responsible.

Cherry bakewells are best after sex.
Anyone ever told you that?
Trusts, from experience.

Oh God. I fucking need some different friends.

Bank Holiday, Samosas, iPosh, Birdsong and Take Off All Your Colours

Bank Holiday this weekend :)

I had the fabbiest time. Shall I tell you? Yes.

Well, on Saturday it was bad because I lost my phone and so I did not recieve the texts I could have done, and I missed a bunch of gatherings because of the missingness. So, instead I had to sit on a DofE checkpoint with my mother because "it was good to get me out of the house". I would have got out of the fucking house if I had found my phone. Fool.

So, on Sunday I go to a park with some nice people. I go to Chipstead, which is near Purley and stuff. It was nice. We played rounders and hugby and we had ice cream and we made Moam bracelets and dressed Josh up as a turtle. It was really fun and there was this kid with a kite and we wanted to make friends because he was a bit of a larry but we didn't want to distract his kiting.

Then on Monday (because it was Bank Holiday and I got the day off :D) I got up jolly early and I went to bushy park. We tried to play rounders but that only lasted about ten minutes because we got bored. Then some of us went for a walk and I met some new people. Then we went to a strange house with lots of cats and Andy ate some samosas. Me and Andy both have iTouches. Now reincarneted as iPoshes. Heh.

Birdsong is a book I have to read for English. It is apparently an A Level book and it is really boring. I am 7 pages in.

Music Revew Time! Just as you thought you could escape....
The album is called "Take Off All Your Colours". Its by You Me At Six. My favourite song on it is Always Attract. Its a good song.
Its like this:

  1. The Truth Is A Terrible Thing

  2. Gossip

  3. Call That A Comeback

  4. Jelous Minds Think Alike

  5. Save It For The Bedroom

  6. Take Off Your Colours

  7. You've Made You Bed (So Sleep In It)

  8. If You Run

  9. Tigers and Sharks

  10. If I Were In Your Shoes

  11. Always Attract

  12. Nasty Habits

  13. The Rumour

And FINALLY, an album that is not self titled. Well done You Me At Six. However, the inspiration was kind of used up in the title. The songs kind of sound the song. But the words are different. They are nice. I like it.

And I'll finish with some wise words: I'm sorry.

Birthdays, iTouches, OK Go and Tea

It's been a while. I'm sorry everyone, I have been out in the sunshine :)

So how have you been?

It was my birthday last Friday.
Exciting. Isn't it?
My friends are so lovely. I had lots of nice cards and presents. Thankyou :)

One of them was an iTunes gift voucher. At the time, I was like eeeak new technology but then...the wind changed....

My darling grandmother bought me an iTouch :) Its very nice. I can go on http://www.facebook.com/ and I can play the piano on it and I can listen to music out loud =)

I am very happy with it :) But also, the other happy thing is that I can spend my iTunes voucher on my iTouch. WoW. I would blog on it as well but the typing is a nightmare.

Also for my birthday I got lots of music :)

Album review time ! Yeah ! Remember OK Go? I went on about them quite alot. Well I got the album and this is it:

  1. Get Over It

  2. Don't Ask Me

  3. Your So Damn Hot

  4. What To Do

  5. 1000 Miles Per Hour

  6. Shortly Before The End

  7. Return

  8. There's A Fire

  9. C-C-C-Cinnamon Lips

  10. The Fix Is In

  11. Hello, My Treacherous Friends

  12. Bye Bye Baby
I really love the album. All the songs are different which is kind of unusual in my experience...(But you have to remind yourself that the band just is wierd. I mean, one of their videos was made on treadmills...its really cool) They are all really catchy and you can sing along to the choruses and recognise them. Its all good. But, again this is another self-titled album. Jesus guys, if you have the inspiration to write songs, use some to think of a decent title!
The remind me alot of All Time Low, coming to think of it. But that is another album for another day...

I am not a bad cook. I love cooking. But something I have never cooked (well, technically the verb should be made) is tea. I have never made tea before in my life. Or coffee. I never drink it, and no one trusts me with their tea, so I have never made it. Yesterday I did make tea.
Lots of tea. With Emile. Me and Emilie Made Tea. Gosh, thats the stuff films are made of.
Anyway, we made so much tea I am not joking. I have never seen so many teacups in my life.

A watched kettle never boils. Especially if its not switched on.

Tears, Smiles, Dresses and Numbers

Hello again :)
I haven't the time to do another album, but I will do another if you like.
Okay, even if you don't like I'm doing another.
But not now.

However, in consellation I will talk about the only song that has managed to make me cry and smile. Its on the All-American Rejects album, When The World Comes Down. (And album I do not currently posess, but hope to soon...). The album Text Coloris their third, as I understand, and I have listened to it on Spotify. Well, alot of it.
Anyway, the song itself is called Mona Lisa (When The World Comes Down). The observant ones of you will notice that the title matches the album. That's because its probably the best song.
The chorus is really happy and stuff but then it is kind of resentful. :'(

I bought a new dress today. On http://www.topshop.com/ :)
I saw it when I was looking on the internet for things in my IT lesson. Then my teacher got cross. So I stopped.
I ordered it off've the internet on Express Delivery so it should arrive on Friday. And guess what day Friday is?

MY BIRTHDAY !
Yey! How exciting. But everyone is going on an optional history trip to Ypres. Except me and some other people.
Here's to having more fun than them.
But the thing is people say, oh, Rosie, how many days till your birthday?
And I have to work it out!?
Numbers ! Helllp. So I ask Josh. Because he is clever and he is going to Eton so he knows about numbers. I could work out today. 2 Days :)
The internet is about to go off.

Boys Like Girls, Fakes, Stupidity and Smarties.

Without wanting to turn this into a music blog, I have another album to talk about. :)

This one is called Boys Like Girls. Like the Metro Station one, its self titled. It's called Boys Like Girls, by Boys Like Girls. Obviously not very imaginative people. It's good. I also ordered it off've Amazon, but this time it was a nice chap in Brighton who sent it to me, so no cracks in the cover. Looking at the print it is possibly going to be quite samey and unimaginative, but I had already listened to some of their songs (okay, most of them...they only have this album, and only have 12 songs) and I was really stunned about the vocal ability of the main singer guy. Serious, this guy is really good. The songs are catchy and easy to follow. Not as happy clappy as Metro Station, but its not like woah thats so deep man, have a listen.
Okay so heres the line up:

  1. The Great Escape

  2. Five Minutes To Midnight

  3. Hero/Heroine

  4. On Top Of The World

  5. Thunder

  6. Me, You and My Medication

  7. Up Against The Wall

  8. Dance Hall Drug

  9. Learning To Fall

  10. Heels Over Head

  11. Broken Man

  12. Holiday
It's good stuff, but check them on Spotify first. It is an aquired taste. Go on. :) But give them a couple of listens before you write them off. They're not too bad. I like them.

FAKEs. I can't bear them. I know lots of them. There's this one I know who told everyone that they slit their wrists and then got drunk. They're looking for the wrong sort of attention.
Then they complain that they will never find love ever. No wonder.
I know another one who wears the clothes, with the right people, but they change. I see them in another place and they are different. It's a shame, because only one of the personalities is a good one.

But then I thought. Yeh, their stupid. But their happy. I mean, whats the problem with being hated if you are oblivious and your happy. There's a song that goes like that. We're Stupid, But We're Happy. Okay, cliché alert, but those lyrics changed my life. Seriously. I am going to go and be happy. Because thats all I need, right? I can be gossiped, my name on the tip of tongues, but I could be happy. You know?
Look at the Imbetweeners. I'm sure I have mentioned this but...The group of them. Okay, yes they are fictional but the point still stands. Their happy. Their friends. All the other kids reckon their wierd but thats okay, because their happy.

Smarties :) They come in all different colours but they have changed them. I was eating a packet today and all of the colours are well, shit. You know? Their not bright like they used to be.
They are all dull and silly.

Life goes on.....

Metro Station, Chocolate, Spotify and Hair Dye

Hello. Again. :)

Honey, their home. Yes, the troops are back from Egypt and so forth, but are too busy doing other things to see me. Ah well. I'll see them soon.

Metro Station. I would just like to mention what a good job Metro Station have done. I mean, they came with nothing. Trace Cyrus is related to that bitch who plays Hannah Montana, so they really had to make something of themselves. Another guy in it is related to another Disney tycoon, so they have done well not to end up like the Jonas Brothers (who I really disapprove of). I bought their album in December, simply titled Metro Station.

I got it off've Amazon and the case had this massive crack down the middle, but thats what you get from Internet shopping I suppose. It had been shipped from Australia because Metro Station were apparently so bad they don't even make the albums in this country.

I had heard most of the songs before. In my desperation, I went on Limewire to get most of the songs because I just wanted to listen to them. I got the album, and as they have written 10 songs, and 10 songs only, you get what you pay for. They are:

  1. Seventeen Forever

  2. Control

  3. Kelsey

  4. Shake It

  5. Wish We Were Older

  6. Now That We're Done

  7. True To Me

  8. Tell Me What To Do

  9. California

  10. Disco

The cheesey novelty wears off after awhile, but I took that as a positive. They write their own stuff (as far as I know) and now they are number 6 on the UK Top40. I thought that was pretty good. Okay, they did do a re-release like EVERYWHERE because they were kind of failing but the entrepreneurial thinking is there =) I'd also like to say, that hah. I heard of these guys before you.

Chocolate. The Easter Steryotype is driving me mad. RAH. Why chocolate? Why not...oranges or something. No wait, thats Christmas. But still. Summer is approaching, and the last thing anyone wants is a big dose of chocolate to make weight double? Whose idea was that?

Spotify. Amzing stuff. Seriously. I have discovered two new bands. OK Go, and Mayday Parade. Its free and you can listen to all the music you like. Well, there are wierd ads like "Hi, I'm Roberta from Spotify...". Look it up. Its good stuff :)

Hair dye. Yeh, its that kind of year again. I want to dye my hair. Whaat colour this time? I want to go lighter but everyone is like...noo you can't do that. Apparently bleach blonde isn't a good idea?

My cat has just managed to scratch me on the eyebrow. It looks like a failed eyebrow piercing. Rah. But..I must praise its acuracy. It is exactly in line. ♥
